Who built the programmeBuilt at the intersection of music, technology, and governance.
Artistic Intelligence was created by Dr. Martin Clancy, co-founder of AI:OK, author of Artificial Intelligence and the Music Ecosystem (Routledge, second edition 2026), Senior AI Research Fellow at Insight/DCU, Policy Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, and founding Chair of the IEEE Global AI Ethics Arts Committee.
The programme draws on two decades of work across the music industry and partnerships with institutions, rights organisations, and leading music companies worldwide. It is designed by people who understand the industry the way your teams do - from the inside.
AI:OK is the trustmark for music AI. The literacy programme is one part of a wider governance infrastructure that includes vendor certification, catalogue verification, and per-use trustmark labelling. Enterprise clients benefit from access to the full AI:OK ecosystem as it develops.
What to know before getting started
Not sure how this works for your organisation? Here are the questions we hear most. If yours is not listed, get in touch — we are happy to walk you through it.
-
Individual learners access the programme directly and work through it at their own pace. Enterprise licences give your organisation the ability to enrol multiple learners, track progress and completion, and align the rollout to your internal schedule. You also get a dedicated contact for onboarding and ongoing support.
-
Thirty-three short films across four sections — Systems, Tools, Governance, and Judgement. Each lesson is followed by three checkpoint questions that test understanding, real-world application, and the learner's own position. All must be passed to progress. The full programme takes six to eight hours and results in an AI:OK certificate of completion.
-
Yes. Enterprise licences can cover a single office, a regional team, or an entire global organisation. Learner groups can be segmented however makes sense for your structure. We scope the deployment with you during the initial conversation.
-
Artistic Intelligence is the literacy layer of the AI:OK ecosystem. It gives your teams the foundational understanding of AI governance in music. For organisations also pursuing AI:OK vendor certification or catalogue verification, the literacy programme prepares your staff for what those processes involve and why they matter. The two are complementary but independent — you do not need to be certified to license the programme, and vice versa.
-
Enterprise licences are priced by learner volume and deployment scope. We do not publish fixed pricing because every organisation is different. The simplest way to get a number is to book a short call — we will ask about your team size, timeline, and goals, and come back with a clear proposal.
